Before cutover

Pre-go-live financial readiness

A control and cutover review before a new invoice application is relied on for the ledger — master data, opening invoices, and the week when two systems both look true.

Readiness is not a vendor certificate

Implementation partners often issue a completion certificate. That document speaks to configuration tasks. It does not speak to whether a sample of real invoices would match, code, approve, and post the way finance expects on the first Monday after cutover.

We ask for a rehearsal with a slice of live invoices, including messy ones: partial receipts, debit notes, and foreign-currency bills.

The week of two truths

Cutover weeks leave invoices in the old application, the new one, and sometimes a spreadsheet. We map which population is authoritative for payment and for the ledger, and we flag gaps where an invoice could be paid twice or not at all.
